National Federation of Cultural, Tourism, Sports and Leisure Co-operatives Federcultura Turismo Sport was founded in 1992 by the unification of Federcultura with Federturismo, Sport e Tempo Libero. It is the sector organization of Confcooperative representing and assisting cultural, tourism, communications, editorial, schools, sports and leisure cooperatives. Mission Federcultura Turismo Sport outlines general policies for the sectors; it assists in the elaboration of strategies and in achieving the general aims of Confcooperative; it is also responsible for the promotion and reinforcement of co-operatives in their respective activity sectors, assisting them technically and economically, representing them in the stipulation of agreements and collective national and employment contracts. Membership Federation's member co-operatives are divided into 6 sectors. The Federation promoted and at present assists 2 national consortia : Consortium BENI CULTURALI ITALIA (Cultural Patrimony); Consortium ITALIA HOLIDAY SERVICE (Tourism). National and international framework Federcultura Turismo Sport is, at national level, associated with the CPA - Conferenza Permanente delle Autonomie (Permanent Autonomies Conference), for the education sector; internationally it is a member of BITS - Bureau International du Tourisme Social.
